On June 16, 2015, while flying over China, enroute to Seoul this aircraft (now in Delta colors) was damaged by hail. It landed at Incheon, and speculation is that it will be ferried back to the US and scrapped or parted out. N671US has been brought out of mothball status as its replacement in the Delta operational fleet until all the 747-400s are retired in 2017.
