Bloody Brilliant!
Years ago, (Around 67'or 68') Lockheed attempted to interest the commercial airline industry with what they were then building for the U.S.Air Force,(The C-5A Galaxy). It was for all intents and purposes almost exactly what you see here. That is to say, two separate passenger decks with a full cargo deck. Of course, the C-5 has a high mounted wing and a "T" tail. I am fairly certain that it was refered to as the L-500. Unfortunately, the Airlines opted instead for the Boeing 747 which they were already taking deliveries of. And as they say...The rest is history.
