The most shocking image I have ever taken in my short airplane enthusiasm career. The shot a lot of people were waiting to see. Notice the mud of the rescue team that entered the cockpit from the broken glass on the right. Also notice that the captain´s seat was removed to ease his way out of the plane. At last note the position of the controls! I will never forget the real sight of this, my first time in a 747 cockpit, well if we can consider it one.

Good picture but caption is incorrect. It is actually the co-pilots seat that is removed. You are looking at the pic upside down, therefore it is the co-pilot's eat, not the Captains.
