Rare 1970 view of near-new TAA DC-9 VH-TJP (Named: Charles Kingsford Smith), in original livery, taxying in to the Sydney Domestic Terminal on 29Apr1970. (She was delivered to TAA on 05Feb1970.) This photo was taken a few days before Queen Elizabeth II opened the new International Terminal on 03May1970. Also, photo taken the day I flew in this aircraft from Mascot (YSSY) to Essendon (YMEN), a 65 minute trip. Registration VH-TJP was also used on a Qantas Boeing 737-476, named 'Petrel'.
