Notes:

Ansett Airlines of Australia Fokker F27-200 Friendship VH-FNL Cn 10291 on take-off roll from Lae Airport in Feb 1975. The humid air generated these prop-tip vortices - the first I had seen on a civil aircraft. Lae Airline operations were later moved to Nadzab. Photo taken before Independence. It was still the Territory of Papua and New Guinea (TPNG) then. VH-FNL was acquired by Ansett-ANA ex Fokker PH-FII in Dec 1965. She was sold to Air New Guinea as P2-ANI in Jan 1977. She was also leased to McRobertson Miller Airlines (MMA) Jan-Jun 1966. (Apologies if Registration 'FNL' can be interpreted as swearing!) Low res photo.
