(Built 1949) the worlds last airworthy Meteor F.8 lining up for an ear shattering departure off Rwy 36. Love loud warbirds? Temora is the place for you! Ex RAF VZ467. In 1974 the aircraft earned the name "Winston" after it was scheduled to star in a flypast to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill's birth. The flypast never eventuated, but the name was retained on the aircraft till it was retired from RAF service in October 1983.
