Barry Pearson’s ex-Royal Navy GA.11 (WV256) has been painted in the colours of the prototype Hunter WB188 in which Neville Duke broke the world speed record in 1952 (whilst painted red) and which appeared in this duck-egg green scheme at the Farnborough air show in 1952. It is seen here in a line up that includes T7s XL592 & XL586, GA.11 XE689 and T8 XE665. This very tarmac at what was 5 Maintenance Unit, RAF Kemble, has seen similar lines of Hunters on and off for 52 years. (400D, Sigma 28-300 & tripod)
