We were unfortunate with the weather for the Bank Holiday display at Hoylake. However, the Red Arrows performed a dynamic 'rolling' display and this photo shows one of the breaks included. Here we see Reds 1 to 5 - 'Enid' - in high 'g' breaks, with Reds 6 to 9 - 'Gypo' - pointing directly at the camera, headlights shining, positioning for their spectacular 'Gypo break', where all four Hawks appear just to miss each other. The display was in aid of the local RNLI fund - one of their boats was used to indicate the display datum to the Team Leader whilst he is flying - that is the orange boat on the beach to the right. The Team has a dedicated videographer who records all their displays - that is his head also on datum - one of only a few allowed on the beach.
