The new basic trainer to replace the Tucano will be the biggest element of the forthcoming contractorised Military Flying Training System partnership. Numerous contenders are likely to include the PC-21 and the Super Tucano. The Tucano T.1 provides current RAF basic pilot and navigator training under 1 Flying Training School at RAF Linton on Ouse.
