Notes:

At the time, the "South Terminal Rotunda" or "Concourse A" served Us Airways, and Midwest Express. Here is your history lesson; the terminal once served as the international terminal and was used extensively afterwards by Pan Am up until the mid-80s. Around this time, PSA became the main tenant and was joined for a short while by other carriers like Continental, Pacific East Air, Northwest, Air Canada and Southwest. From the PSA merger in 86, USAir became the main tenant and kept up the SFO hub into the early 90s. By the mid-90s, the North side of the rotunda and the majority of the gates were demolished to make way for the new current international terminal, as is evident by the abrupt end of the rotunda close to the trailer in this shot. By that time, USAir had downgraded most of PSA's former destinations to commuter flights(operated by StatesWest B1900s and B200s) out of gates 7 and 5 and were joined by MarkAir, Midwest Express, and Frontier. By the early 2000s, US Airways dropped the remaining commuter flights(operated by Trans States JS31s) and Southwest ended service to SFO in March 2000. US Airways and Midwest would remain the final tenants of the concourse until it was torn down in 2007 to make way for current gates A1, A3, and A5. Note the Northwest DC-10, Delta widget 757, and National Airlines 757's tail peaking out from gate 25.
