Sam, Ive heard this call sign on the scanner many times in the past and the call sign is definitely 'Midland 598', the BMA-2PK flight goes from MAN-LHR at around 10am daily, this flight left LHR at 4.00pm (delayed!!)

Lovely Matt! The callsign would be BMA2KP, 3KP etc... not 598

The rainbow effect is called the "Pilot's Halo." Wherever you are sitting in the plane, you will appear to be in the center of it.
