This aircraft has been restored and preserved displaying the markings of the USAF Stratigic Air Command. On 03/05/1962, this A/C set three seperate speed records. In December 1969 it was retired from active service and flown to the USAF Museum.. The A/C is currently being exhibited at the National Museum of Aviation of the USAF, Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio.. **(Note the unusual lighting of this aircraft, this is the result of often very dim theatrical lighting that is utilized in this and the "Early Years" gallery)
