This Yak was pictured at Oaksey Park during maintenance by visiting engineers. The Yak-18T was introduced to train Aeroflot pilots – powered by a 360hp Vedenyev radial, it has four seats and is fully aerobatic (a requirement of all Soviet trainers). Hungary has fully Type-Certificated the Yak 18T to JAR 23 standard, which facilitates operation of Hungarian-registered aircraft in the normal category anywhere in the world. (400D, Sigma 28-300 & fluid-head tripod – four second exposure at f22)
