An empty "India Bravo" climbs steeply out of a sunny but cold Luton. This Airbus first flew in Septmber 1983 as F-GDVC and started her airline career, flying as N235EA with Eastern Air Lines for nine years before moving to Continental Air Lines as N14977 in May 1992. Four years passed and another owner, Carnival Airlines, meant that her registration changed again, this time N227KW was applied and she flew on for two more years before she was WFU and stored at Marana. Thankfully this grand old lady was saved from the breakers yard when she was converted to a freighter in May 1999, registered N59274 (ntu) and then subsequently PH-SFM when she was leased to Schreiner Airways, leaving the Arizona sunshine behind her to head east to Europe. Subsequent registrations of EI-DHL and her current one OO-DIB, with European Air Transport, followed. Today she transports parcels and packages to all parts of Europe....long may she continue to do so.
