Vertical shot on the flight deck with some extremely spectacular scenery cruising along the coast of Alaska approx. 25 miles out. It is amazing to see such a midnight sunset and a sunrise 3 hours later. This photo was shot in the evening approx. 10pm Alaska time. The carrier air wing is conducting a joint military excerise for the annual Operation Northern Edge with the Alaskan Air Force, Coast Guard, and Canadian Armed Forces near Fairbanks, AK during the Western Pacific 2004 deployment to support global war on terrorism.
