I don't think you would see this Iraqi 747SP parked at Andrews during these tense times! However, if this aircraft had landed to provide their leader the opportunity to surrender, then we would all breath a sigh of relief.
This obviously would have been before the invasion of Kuwait, so relations with Iraq were probably okay at this time... So I'm guessing this was a government VIP flight of some sort. When that war broke out, this plane ended up getting parked in Tunis, which is where I believe it remains parked to this day. Another SP bites the dust...
