An upclose and personal look at the General Electric CF6-50C2 high-bypass turbofan engine that powered this DC10 with 50,000lbs of takeoff thrust. The fan blades look fairly clean and new!

In fact, the engine looks really clean. The spiral mark on the spinner and the hydraulic hoses don't let us lie. Sometimes depending on the agreement between airline and lessor, an overhaul of some systems are required as a "redelivery" condition. Even thought the airplane would be, eventually, scrapped. This engine may have flown a little bit more. Maybe it is still flying. Nice photo! I just love these more detailed technical pictures. Great job!
