But, also due to the so called absent preventive measures like the taxiing lights were still leading into the closed runway..and there was nothing bright on the runway to notify the pilots that the runway was closed. There were lots of near misses too. Cathay Pacific and China Airlines and EVA Air were the airlines which had near misses at TPE.
Hi X2.......yeah, crashed during the Typhoon, but I still think it was the dummy in the cockpit taking off on the closed runway being the major factor..! Alien
