[1920px] "Gloster Meteor F-8 Jet Monument of the Brazilian Air Force" - Monument that honors the aircraft made by the Gloster Aircraft Company. In 1953, the Brazilian Air Force acquired its first examples, which were used for strategic missions until their retirement in the 1970s. In December 2024, this F-8 was refurbished and received a square next to it called "Praça do Avião", located at the entrance to the Salvador Air Base.
