Notes:

On display on the flight deck of museum ship CV-10 USS Yorktown. Painted as Sea King 66 with BuNo 152711, this was one of the most recognized helicopters of all time. The original ‘66’ of HS-4 was the primary recovery helicopter for Apollo 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13. It was lost at sea off NALF Imperial Beach in 1975. Commissioned in 1952, HS-4 “Black Knights” became the first ASW helicopter squadron to deploy aboard an aircraft carrier. During a single deployment in SEA in 1966, it set a record of rescuing 24 downed airmen. HS-4 pioneered SAR techniques for the Apollo capsule recoveries.
