The first Soviet jet aircraft included in the armament of the Czechoslovak Air Force. Eleven Yak-23 aircraft designated S-101 served in Czechoslovakia between 1951 and 1956. The machine from the VHU collections ended its aviation career in Brno with the 3rd Fighter Aviation Regiment and was later transferred to Prerov as a teaching aid. It was found in 1967 in Kromeriz Aeroclub by the staff of the Aviation Group of the Military Museum. Due to its greatly impoverished condition, it underwent extensive renovation. It was transferred to the Aviation Museum in December 1969 and subsequently exhibited. It now carries the code of the 3rd Squadron of the 3rd Air Fighter Regiment.
