A84-219 was Struck Off Charge at Amberley on 20Sep1975. Alex Campbell Park was opened on 28Feb1987 and the Canberra was unveiled by Group Captain Arthur Barnes DFC. The park stands as a memorial to Heavy Bombardment Field No.1 established 1943 and covering 862 acres. No.99 Sqn RAAF and No.15 Sqn USAAF operated B-24 Liberators from there as part of the "Brisbane Line of Defence" Ref: ADF-Serials.’
