Built in 1953 with the British military serial XA312. Served with the Glider Instructors School, No.2 Gliding Centre at RAF Newton, No.634 Gliding School at RAF St Athan and No.636 Gliding School at Fairwood Common (Swansea). It was written off after a non-fatal accident in April 1968 and then rebuilt as a travelling exhibit carrying the false serial VM791. It was later allocated the maintenance serial 8876M. It joined the museum here during 1999 and has now been repainted with the correct serial
