Prototype displaying in the afternoon at Aero India 2019. The HTT-40 was designed by Aerospace Research and Development Centre (ARDC). It first flew on 31 May 2016. Intended to be an ab-initio trainer for the IAF with a maximum TOW of 2800 kg, it is powered by a Garrett TPE331-12B turboprop, similar to the Short Tucano.
