Douglas C-47 "Faßberg-Flyer" preserved at "Erinnerungsstätte Luftbrücke Berlin" in Fassberg - Germany. This DC-47 was delivered in 1943 to the USAAF and was part of the Luftbrücke Berlin. From 1949 to 1995 this Aircraft was in action by the Turkish Air Force with the reg. 12-068. This DC-47 was a present from the Turkish to be part of this Museum at the Fassberg Air Force Base. The original "Faßberg-Flyer" (43-15208, c/n 19674) was sold to Guatemala Air Force. Therefore this DC-47 is painted as 43-15208 in USAF cls. You can visit this Aircraft at the Museum.
