Low res close-cropped front Stbd view of RAN Fairey Firefly AS5 WB518 MSN F8646 (with Code K903 visible), pole mounted in a park in Griffith NSW during Easter 1973 (Apr 1973). WB518 sat on the pole from 1966 to 1991. I saw this aircraft flying during Air Venture 2003 at Oshkosh. The aircraft won a number of EAA awards, including Best Restoration. This Korean War vintage aircraft (Del: Oct 1950, and powered by a Rolls Royce Griffon engine) wears topside ‘Invasion Stripes’.
