Notes:

The beautiful special scheme commemorating the 75th anniversary of David R. Kingsleys’ sacrifice. This F-15 is painted to resemble the B-17 “Sandman” that Kingsley was a bombardier aboard during World War II. while on a bombing mission his aircraft was badly damaged and everyone was called to bail out. Kingsley noticed that the tail gunner didn’t have a parachute, so Kingsley gave up his parachute to the wounded tail gunner, sacrificing his life in the process. Kingsley was later posthumously awarded the Medal Of Honor and now the Klamath Falls airport is named in his honor, dubbed “Kingsley Field”
