They parted to get a view of Hastings, Vidyasagar Setu and the older Howrah Bridge further upstream across Hooghly River. Directly below Flap Track 4 lies Victoria Memorial. Incredible to think that this was the seat of British power across India, and to imagine the number of vessels in this once well-frequented port.
