Mi-8 OM-XYC helicopter on the background of the Lucanska Mala Fatra mountains. At the top of Krizava (1,451 m above sea level) there is a radio and television transmitter of the same name. The construction of the column is 116 m high, it was put into operation on January 23, 1970, when it began as the first transmitter in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic to broadcast a television signal in color. The broadcasting center also includes a workplace for air traffic control, monitoring the airspace over Slovakia.
