1975 Airport Overview of Lae Airfield AYLA (now Closed). Photo taken from Australian Army Bell 206B-1 Kiowa A17-021 during a circuit of Lae AYLA on 20Feb1975. The Bell 206B-1 was doing Hot/High Performance Trials (conducted by the RAAF Aircraft Research and Development Unit [ARDU]). The ARDU detachment operated from a temporary Helipad at Igam Barracks from 01-24Feb1975.
