H-5 is a subsonic light bomber designed and developed by Harbin aircraft manufacturing plant with reference to the improvement of Soviet Il-28. It began trial production in January 1963, first flew in September 1966, put into mass production in April 1967, equipped the army, stopped production in 1984 and exited active service in 2009.
