FAMEX 2021 / MUMA [Museo Militar de Aviación] [1920px] - 16 of these rare-looking Israeli aircraft were purchased and registered “2001”-“2016” in 1973. This livery has historical importance - it was used during the confrontations between the “Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (EZLN)” [Zapatista Army of National Liberation] vs the Mexican Army in 1994 when these aircraft bombed strategic positions in the jungle of Chiapas. Throughout their operational history, they wore two other liveries: one was blue and grey (their first livery), and the latter was green (like at the front of the pictured aircraft), which they wore since they were re-registered 3001 to 3016. They are currently all retired and scattered throughout Mexico - mostly on display.
