[1920px] This Gulf was impounded here on August 04th after federal agents found 1300kg of cocaine in the luggage. The jet was flying from Ribeirão Preto to Europe (Lisbon and Brussels), with a tech stop in Fortaleza. The passenger (a Spanish citizen) and the captain were arrested by the Brazilian Federal Police, while the rest of the crew was interrogated and soon released. Definitely not a good day to be a drug smuggler! Meanwhile, the Gulf sits idle at the ramp, awaiting to be finally released by the authorities. Fun fact: this bird used to be operated by the Turkish Government as TC-ATA, and I've got a pic of her here in Fortaleza in 2015. Since then, she was re-registered and sold to a private company.
