Notes:

Aerovías Oaxaqueñas was an airline that operated flights from Oaxaca’s capital, to the beach-side cities of Puerto Escondido and Salina Cruz. It was founded in 1979. The aircraft in the picture was part of their “Dakota-only” fleet. This DC-3 (built-in 1943) was nicknamed Monte Albán. - The name represents one of the main attractions in Oaxaca: a mountainside Zapotec city that is now a heritage archaeological site. Other DC-3s owned by the Airline include XA-ION (CD. Oaxaca), and XA-JIH (Mitla). To read more look at: http://www.oldjets.net/oaxaca-mexico.html [1600px]
