Notes:

Ringed by the obligatory plants and painted with two roundels, this Type 77 stands inside Nicco Park in Kolkata. Due to the pandemic, no rides were functioning in the amusement park, which felt eerily empty without children. License built in India, the Type 77 once formed the backbone of IAF’s fighter fleet and was used to good effect in the 1971 war. The aircraft was inaugurated on Oct. 13, 2008 by Air Marshal PK Barbora, AOC-in-C Eastern Air Command and is thought to have come from Bagdogra AFS.
