ANA's then-almost-daily Boeing 787-8 flight to SJC turns onto runway 30R for a late morning departure back to NRT, a sight that local spotters took for granted now ruined by a new fence. NRT-SJC was an early route for ANA's 787s, and an example of routes that the Dreamliner made practical that otherwise would likely never be launched with larger aircraft like the 777. The service has been twice suspended for prolong periods, first for the global 787 grounding and then again due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This aircraft was later transferred to ANA's subsidiary, Air Japan.
