First flew in 1981 as N30008 for Swearingen. Joined Arkia Israeli later that years as 4X-CSF. Changed to N2671V, the registration it would keep for the remainder of its operation, joining Pioneer Airlines in 1982, Midstate Airlines in 1986, Air Kentucky Airlines in 1988. Went back to Fairchild for a testbed operation in 1989, then joined Grand Airways in 1990. Finally flew for Merlin Express in 1999 but then was written off after landing wheels up at KSAT during pilot training, with the instructor forgetting to put the gear down.
